Glendale welcomes you to our wonderful library! (Find us on Twitter @Glendalebiblio)
Our librarian extraordinaire, Rebecca Hornsby, started at Glendale in 2010.
Our library media center is a bright and busy place! Students may visit the library anytime to browse for books, check out materials, or work on the computers. Teachers bring their students for collaborative lessons that incorporate both information literacy skills and classroom curriculum. The library is a very welcoming place! Parents and grandparents are always encouraged to volunteer. Please contact our library media specialist, Mrs. Hornsby, in person or by emailing her HERE.
Glendale has an online book catalog! See it HERE.
Mrs. Hornsby has created a portaportal of helpful links for students and will be adding to this during the year. Students can access from any computer. Guests can log-in with the ID "glendalelibrary." Access it HERE.
Be a Library God or Goddess! Opportunities to volunteer in the library media center: assist students during morning check out on a weekly or monthly basis, help return books to shelves, and/or help with either of the book fairs (promotion, set up, sales, or clean up). Contact Mrs. Hornsby HERE if you are interested.
If you are interested in sponsoring a book for our library, please let the PTO know by clicking HERE.
A "book plaque" will be put in the book with your name for all to see.
Have you checked out the Tennessee Electronic Library? This is free to all Tennesseans and includes a section just for kiddos.
