Glendale welcomes you to our wonderful biblioteca!!  Our librarian extraordinaire, Rebecca Hornsby, started at Glendale in 2010.

Our library is a bright, busy, and welcoming place! Students may visit anytime to browse for books, check out materials, or work on the computers. Teachers bring their students for collaborative lessons that incorporate both information literacy skills and classroom curriculum.

Glendale has an online book catalog HERE. The MNPS online catalog merged with the Nashville Public Library’s catalog. Additionally, NPL created Limitless Libraries, which allows teachers, third, and fourth graders to request books from NPL to be delivered and returned to Glendale. The Limitless Libraries site has something for everyone! With a library card, you can access helpful sites like BookFlix and PebbleGo, and check out ebooks and audiobooks. Find it all HERE.

Have you checked out the Tennessee Electronic Library? This is free to all Tennesseans and includes a section just for kiddos. Click HERE to find online encyclopedias, student-friendly search engines, Tennessee history, reading sites, games and much more.

Be a Library God or Goddess! Opportunities to volunteer in the library include assisting students during morning check out on a weekly or monthly basis, shelving books, and/or helping with either of the book fairs (promotion, set up, sales, or clean up). Contact Mrs. Hornsby HERE if you are interested.

You can (occasionally) find us on Twitter @Glendalebiblio.
